3D-CAD SOLIDWORKS

3D-CAD SOLIDWORKS

This is the CAD software we mainly use to create 3D models and perform everything from strength analysis to drafting work.
For newly manufactured products and modifications and improvements to existing products, we use 3D to create drawings that make it easier to understand areas that are difficult to recognize on 2D plan drawings. We utilize reference drawings for specification meetings.

3D scanner

3D scanner

We have two types of scanners: the HandySCAN, a portable scanner for relatively simple measurements, and the MetraSCAN, a high-precision scanner with improved quality and efficiency.
3D scanners are used for large or curved 3D shapes that are difficult to measure with calipers, tape measures, or pointers. The big advantage of 3D scanners is that they enable non-contact measurement of large objects that are difficult to measure with measuring tools, such as the wings of aircraft.
It is also used for reverse engineering.

Reverse engineering

Reverse engineering

Many customers have voiced their concerns about outdated facilities, equipment, and parts, saying that they are unable to request repairs or manufacturing due to a lack of drawings. In order to respond to such requests, we are working on reverse engineering by utilizing our 3D scanner and the sketching capabilities of our design department, which we have cultivated over many years.
We measure the dimensions of used parts, create drawings, and manufacture the parts. However, used parts are subject to wear and tear, and if the dimensions are measured and drafted as they are, there is a possibility that they will deviate from the dimensional tolerances and no longer be viable as products. In such cases, it is necessary to measure not only the part to be manufactured but also all related parts to determine tolerances. This process is extremely difficult, but it is one of our specialties.
