Inspection & Measurement

Horiguchi Engineering obtained ISO 9001 certification in November 1998 and JIS Q 9100 certification in October 2009.
The above certifications are quality management systems for companies that design, manufacture, and develop products in the aerospace and defense fields to improve safety and reliability.
By obtaining this certification, a third-party organization certifies that the company has a system in place to maintain the quality functions required by the aerospace and defense sector and to provide products and services of a certain quality with a high level of safety.

Inspection & Measurement

Magnetic test

Magnetic test

Magnetic testing is mainly performed on crankshafts, cylinders, and undercarriage components that are subject to overlay repair.
Overlay repair involves the risk of cracking and fissuring due to heat. Therefore, welding defects, heat treatment, grinding, and stress cracking that may occur during the process are inspected at the time of entry, in-process, upon completion, and before each process to maintain HORIGUCHI Quality.

Balance Measurement

Balance Measurement

Balancing of rotating bodies. Mainly balancing of shafts such as crankshafts and propeller shafts. We also do intermediate shafts used for marine impellers, motors, etc.
This is an important adjustment work because using products with unbalanced shafts can cause vibration, which may lead to damage of related parts or breakage of the shaft.
